Morrison Community Care Group would seek to deliver the following opportunities and public benefits from the development:
- Inclusion – members of the public will be able to use some facilities at the Care Home to help residents feel part of their local community.
- Facilities – hair & beauty salon, Cinema room, Café, Meeting rooms.
- Links with local groups to offer use of the facilities and at times this can in return, involve them providing a service to the Care Home such as entertainment or activities.
- Opportunities for further employment and volunteering opportunities.
- Work with local schools and nurseries; providing placements for senior schools and activities with nurseries when they visit such as arts & crafts and music sessions.
- Links with Universities to provide student placements for nurses and occupational therapy students which often leads to employment for students to run alongside their studies.
